  How to do wax waxing at home. Contraindications and precautions. Approximate consumption of wax and additional materials.

Despite the increasing prevalence of modern methods of hardware hair removal, waxing depilation procedure is still the most popular method of getting rid of unwanted hair. The reason is simple:

  • waxing is available for both home use and hair removal by a professional cosmetologist;
  • has a relatively high efficiency (the result after the procedure lasts for 3-4 weeks);
  • quite versatile (can be used on any parts of the body and face without restrictions);
  • an important factor - waxing depilation is the best ratio in terms of price and quality.

The effectiveness of wax depilation depends largely on the type of wax, which it is produced. There are means of emergency depilation at home, suitable for self-use in small areas and more serious "waxes for professional work, able to solve the problem with hair growth in almost any area.

Like other "amateur" means, waxes for home depilation are as easy to use and safe as possible, but they are not very effective. Salon compositions, on the contrary, cope quickly and efficiently with any vegetation, but are difficult to use and require certain skills to work. Consider the types of wax compositions for depilation in more detail.

There are 3 types of cosmetic waxes:

  1. cold (fusible),
  2. warm (medium temperature),
  3. hot (solid or refractory).

Cold wax easily passes into a semi-liquid state. For this, he needs only a little warm water or the temperature of the human body. The composition for depilation in the cold way consists of pine gum and a chemical compound that has fermentation properties (quite simply, a sticky substance).

Such a mixture is applied in a thin layer on paper strips of different sizes, which are intended for independent use. Finished are divided into impact zones (for face, for feet, for sensitive areas). The specific composition and size of the paper base under the adhesive layer depends on the specific area for which the product is intended.

These strips can be sold both separately and in combination with additional tools that facilitate the process of depilation. For example, napkins to remove wax residue, soothing lotion, exfoliating agent and in other variants of the sets.

The undoubted advantages of cold hair removal are its accessibility and ease of procedure. The strip is warmed up in the hands, then divided into two halves, each of which has its own sticky layer, is applied to the skin and after a couple of smoothings in the direction of hair growth breaks down in the opposite direction. This method is ideal for thin, sparse hair, not too long, but not the shortest, in a small area of skin. Scope of wax strips, traditionally:

  • "Mustache" over the upper lip and the face as a whole (meaning the female face);
  • fingers and toes;
  • less often - arms and legs with rather poor hairiness;
  • armpits and bikinis - perhaps, but without guarantee of effect, with a high degree of pain and side effects.

For waxing large areas of cold wax is not very convenient. The strips themselves are usually small in length and width, and it takes a long time to process one area. The rapid sticking to a thin wax layer of hair removed, epidermal scales, sebum causes the stripes to become unusable and makes them, in fact, disposable.

That is, after one, maximum two attachments, the strip already loses all its depilating properties. In addition, cold wax is too soft to hold thick and dense hair, and therefore its application is limited.

Cold wax should not be used if you need hair removal:

  • very short hair (up to 2 mm) or long (more than 5 - 6 mm), since in the first case the wax strips cannot “catch” the hairs, and in the second - the wax is immediately clogged and the strip needs to be replaced;
  • thick hairline and large areas for the same reason as long hair;
  • hard hair with deep root - such soft hair wax is unable to hold, pulling out only single hairs, leaving the rest in place;
  • sensitive areas, as with cold hair removal hair removal is performed without prior steaming of the skin, which increases the invasiveness and pain of the procedure.

In all the above cases, the optimal use of other types of wax, namely, warm and hot. Their effectiveness and scope is much broader than that of soft formulations.

Warm wax is well suited for hair removal in areas such as the abdomen, arms and legs. Formulations with medium temperature fusibility (about 35-40 degrees Celsius) are made on the basis of wood resins, beeswax and various additives that carry auxiliary and caring functions.

The form of the release of warm waxes is most often in the form of cartridges with a replaceable roller nozzle. This is one of the most comfortable ways to use. The cartridge provides the convenience of using wax: it can be heated in a container with hot water or in a special heater. The roller nozzle helps to quickly and evenly apply wax to the skin, with the observance of hygiene requirements and allows you not to soil everything around with a sticky compound.

While the wax is heated to the desired temperature, you can prepare for the procedure: degrease the treatment site (wash, dry, wipe with an antiseptic), sprinkle the skin with talcum powder (so that the wax does not stick to the skin, but only the hairs catch).

Warm wax is applied to the skin, then a strip is applied on top, whether it is fabric or paper, smoothing it parallel to the hairline. Tear off the strip with a sharp movement, one hand, the other at this time pulling the skin. Special strips for depilation with warm wax come in a set with cartridges or are sold separately.

After hair removal, wax residues must be removed with a napkin soaked in a special compound or any oil (cosmetic, children's, vegetable). After depilation, a soothing lotion can be applied to the skin, it is better if it has an effect that slows down the regrowth of new hair.

The method of warm wax depilation is equally used by cosmetologists and at home. For salon depilation professional warm wax is also sold in large, economical banks.

The procedure for removing hair with warm wax is not difficult, and its danger is minimal, since there is no risk of getting burned. Concerning painful sensations  and skin injuries - they occur in most cases, as well as in the situation with the cold method.

Warm wax perfectly copes with hair growth, which has various characteristics, including hard and thick hair, and in this regard is quite versatile. The only exception is hair removal. intimate zones  and other sensitive areas.

So, if you need to remove hair in the bikini or armpit area, it is better to give preference to the next kind of wax - hot.

The composition for depilation in the hot way is made on the basis of beeswax, paraffins and resins. As additional “bonuses”, the wax formula includes caring ingredients: vitamins, plant extracts, oils, and so on. In the solid state wax is in the form of braces, bars, granules, tablets and other forms.

To melt such wax is possible only in a special device - wax-melt, which heats the composition to a high temperature (50 -70 degrees), as a result of which the wax becomes liquid and suitable for application to the epilation zone.

The main advantage of hot wax is its ability to prepare the skin for aggressive hair removal. Heat  the composition warms the skin well, steam it, opens the pores, thereby facilitating the pulling out of the hair, reducing pain and reducing tissue trauma.

That is why hot waxing is indispensable for intimate depilation  and underarm hair removal. The main risk during hot depilation is the likelihood of burns, because you can only entrust such a delicate matter to a professional in this area. Solid waxes are intended solely for depilation in beauty treatments and are not recommended for independent use.

Preparations for the depilation of hot wax is similar to the case with warm wax. The procedure itself is somewhat different. After the wax has reached the optimum temperature and consistency, the master applies a hot composition to the treated area with a special disposable trowel.

This should be done as quickly as possible, until the wax froze. After application to the skin, as it cools, the composition “adheres” to the surface of the skin, takes the form that repeats all the bends and depressions of the depilation zone, and captures all the hairs “from small to large”.

At the same time, the hair is tightly held in a frozen wax and removed with it with one jerk. The tearing off of the wax layer occurs with the hands without the use of strips, if the composition is plasticizing. Some refractory waxes are removed using paper or thin cloth tapes.

After the procedure, it is necessary to clean the skin of wax and it is desirable to apply a soothing cream. Virtually all waxes are fat-soluble, that is, washed off with oil, but manufacturers also offer formulations that can be rinsed off with water. The effectiveness of such waxes is much lower, since water solubility reduces the depilatory properties of waxes.

The undoubted advantages of hot wax waxing can be attributed to its beneficial effect on the skin: the procedure has an effect equivalent to a paraffin therapy session. But, on the other hand, the same effect may serve as a restriction to the use this method  for those to whom temperature effects on body tissues are contraindicated for health reasons. In particular, overheating is not recommended for varicose veins and thrombophlebitis, oncology and a number of other diseases.

Film wax

Another type of wax for depilation, which appeared on the market relatively recently - film wax. Based on its melting point (38 - 39 degrees), such a composition can be attributed to warm, but in its properties it is similar to solid waxes. Thus, the film wax combines the positive qualities of warm and hot waxes.

Film wax differs in the increased plasticity due to occurrence in its structure of polymers of rubber and vinyl. The procedure and scope of this mixture is similar to depilation with hot wax. Film wax is heated in a melter, then applied to the treatment area. The cooling of the wax is slower than with the hot method, due to which the skin is longer exposed to the thermal “bath” and steamed better.

Depilation with film wax is the safest for the patient: the possibility of a burn is eliminated, the mixture is applied to a comfortable body temperature, skin pores are revealed as much as possible, ensuring virtually painless hair extraction. Film wax is more economical in comparison with hot one, since slow cooling and plasticity make it possible to apply it in a thinner layer. The consumption of such a composition is on average 30% less.

What should I look for when choosing a wax for depilation? Of course, on the composition. Do not forget that many of the ingredients of industrial waxes can produce allergic reactions. These are, above all, bee products (natural beeswax, honey), essential oilsextracts from plants. Additional "effects" that give all sorts of cosmetic additives, choose based on the needs of your skin (moisturizing, nutrition, fortification, rejuvenation).

The second is the melting point. You should not buy solid wax for home use if you do not have the skills to work with it and there is no wax melting. Professional waxes are best left to beauticians, as well as carrying out procedures in "special" areas. By doing this yourself you can hurt yourself by making a burn or by getting side effects  due to a violation of hot waxing technology.

For “everyday” depilation, get cold or warm wax. Read the instructions: for which zone this composition is intended, and in which area the manufacturer does not recommend using it. When purchasing warm wax, give preference to wax in cassettes, and not in banks, and do not forget to buy a set of strips for depilation.

Pay attention to how the wax is washed off. For water-soluble formulations of sufficiently warm water, and for fat-soluble it is recommended to purchase a spray or wipes to remove wax residue from the skin. This will make it easier for you, since “fussing” with oil in trying to scrub the wax (especially in large areas of the body) is not the most pleasant thing.

Get a post-depilatory cream or lotion that contains ingredients that slow down the growth of hair - this will allow you to do waxing a little less. You will also need peeling to prevent ingrown hair.

Regardless of what kind of wax you choose for waxing, there are a number of "cons" that are characteristic of any wax formulations. It:

  • painfulness of the procedure - it is difficult to transfer it to people with a low pain threshold, therefore they are recommended to do depilation only in a hot way and preferably with the use of a spray with lidocaine and other measures to reduce sensitivity, which the cosmetologist will advise;
  • irritation and reddening after depilation - almost always arises, since skin trauma during mechanical hair removal is inevitable along with the root;
  • irritation at the site of depilation - if it gets into the wounds left at the site of the hair that has been pulled out, residues of cosmetical agents, dirt, they become infected, as a result, a small rash with punctate pustular inflammations may appear. If this condition does not pass in a couple of days and progresses, you need to contact a dermatologist;
  • bruises and bruises - are formed at the site of injury to the skin at the time of pulling out the hair, especially if the hair is hard and with a deep root;
  • hair ingrowth and pseudo-folliculitis is the main disadvantage of waxing and one of the most unpleasant consequences of depilation, which is a consequence of the hair removal technique against their growth;
  • availability wide list  contraindications impose restrictions on clients with certain diseases, especially hot waxing.

If you do not plan to choose wax for depilation yourself, you should inform your cosmetologist about the condition of your health before the procedure. Also the master of depilation should be aware of allergic reactions known to you in order to find the optimal wax composition, excluding potentially dangerous ingredients.

Eliminating unwanted hairs on the body quickly and effectively helps at home or in a beauty salon. With the help of a cosmetic procedure, a woman is able to quickly give the skin a flawless look. Previously recommended to learn the recipe of the mixture.

Epilation waxing at home, in contrast to conventional shaving, has the following advantages:

  • skin stays smoother longer;
  • the growing hairs are thinner and softer than the bristles that appear the day after shaving.

The disadvantage of the procedure is the likelihood of ingrown hair. To eliminate them, cosmetologists recommend peeling.

The first rule for performing a waxing procedure at home is hygiene.  To prevent the penetration of infection, the surface of the epidermis is treated with alcohol or an antiseptic.

Before waxing depilation make sure that the temperature in the room was not lower than 22 - 25 degrees.

For waxing depilation at home, the length of the hairs should be at least 3-4 mm. The skin is prepared for the procedure, steaming in warm water. Pre-lavender oil is added to the liquid. To eliminate dead skin particles of the epidermis using a scrub. Then, hot wax is applied to the treated surface with a special stick.

Types of Waxing

Experts identify 3 types of procedures that use hot, warm and cold wax. Hot wax (60 ° C) is well suited for removing hairs in the bikini area. Due to the warming effect, the hairs are more easily removed from the bulbs. In this case, the woman does not feel pain. The mixture is heated in a special thermostat, microwave or in a water bath.

The special feature of the thermostat is that it warms the mixture to the required temperature, eliminating the possibility of a burn. Hot wax is applied to the skin by applying a cloth strip on top. If the mixture is frozen, then strip the strip. The movement is done sharply and against the growth of hair. Then the surface of the skin must be disinfected, narrowing the pores. On skin covering  apply moisturizing lotion, cream or milk.

The second recipe for quick and effective body hair removal is the use of warm wax (50 ° C). The effect of the procedure lasts up to 1.5 months. The process is no different from hot waxing. You must adhere to similar rules for the preparation and processing of the epidermis.

Cold waxing - effective remedy  to remove hairs that are just starting to grow. The stores sell ready-made strips with cold wax inside. They need to be heated to body temperature, holding between the palms. The heated strip is applied to the surface of the skin, smooth and tear off with a sharp movement.

How is wax depilation done at home?

Then you will need to purchase a wax depilation kit in a store or a pharmacy and prepare the skin.

Hot wax depilation: wax heated to the required temperature is applied with a special spatula, which:

  • made of quality wood;
  • has a configuration that repeats the curves of the body (for a comfortable application of the mixture on different parts of the body);
  • equipped with an indicator (blue square, which allows you to determine the temperature of the wax). The inscription "No" means that the mixture is too hot.

For wax, the recipe of which may differ depending on the manufacturer (some enrich it with moisturizing and skin-care ingredients), you need to attach a fabric strip, wait for it to solidify and rip off sharply. The wax after depilation is removed with a sponge soaked in body oil. Some manufacturers in the set sell wipes soaked in oils.

Warm depilation: the mixture is prepared using a microwave oven or thermostat for 45 seconds, and on the water bath for 10 minutes. The jar must be opened and removed from the foil to avoid overheating. Check the temperature of the wax with a special stick with an indicator. Further actions are completely identical to the procedure of hot waxing.

Cold depilation allows you to quickly remove hair with wax at home or on vacation. The finished strip is heated between the palms (for 30 seconds). Then it is glued to the surface of the skin (20 s) and ripped off.

24 hours before waxing it is necessary to exfoliate the skin: the wax will stick to the hair better and act better.

The use of antiseptic, cold showers, ice and moisturizing will help soothe the skin after depilation and avoid irritation. The likelihood of irritation will decrease if you use ice cubes of chamomile or calendula decoction.

Avoiding the unpleasant effects of hair removal helps compliance with the rules of skin care:

  • constriction of the pores after the procedure using ice or a cold shower;
  • applying a moisturizer;
  • protection from exposure to UV rays for 3 days after the procedure;
  • rejection of tight clothing, which is adjacent to the treated area of the skin, for 3 days;
  • peeling.

If the procedure is carried out in the cabin, then upon completion of the treatment, the treated skin areas are cooled with liquid nitrogen. At home, use a contrast shower. In special sets there is everything to prepare a mixture for hair removal. The standard package contains 250 ml of wax. It is enough for the depilation of the legs 2 times. The set provides fabric strips (10−20 pcs.). To remove the wax, use special wipes. For full body depilation, you will need to buy 2 cans of wax.

Contraindications

Hair removal is stress for the epidermis. Cosmetologists do not recommend carrying out a similar procedure in the presence of such factors as:

  • phlebeurysm;
  • sunburn;
  • cuts;
  • abrasions;
  • bites or inflammatory elements;
  • elderly age;
  • pregnancy.

When conducting cosmetic procedure special attention is paid to the location of moles. They can not be injured.

Smooth legs without a single hair is the standard of modern beauty. However, depilation is not sufficiently effective, the hair grows the very next day, negating all the torment. In order for the skin to remain silky and tender for as long as possible, and the hair did not have to be shaved off daily, an epilation was invented that allows you to get rid of unwanted vegetation for as long as several weeks.

Waxing is one of the most effective, but in the beauty salon this procedure will cost a lot of money. At home, you can achieve the same effect as after visiting the salon. To do this, you need to know how to properly make hair removal and avoid mistakes that can adversely affect the condition of the skin or simply negate all efforts.

There are undoubted advantages of waxing with wax:

  1. The duration of the result. As a rule, repeated hair removal will be required only in a few weeks. In addition, the grown hairs will be weak and thin, so that each subsequent epilation will be maintained for a longer period, until the hairs cease to grow at all.
  2. Affordable price. Unlike some other epilations and depilations, the waxing procedure is much cheaper.
  3. Ease of process .   In addition to all other advantages, waxing is very easy to do! It is enough to follow the rules outlined below to get rid of unwanted hair for a long time.

As for the disadvantages of waxing at home, they are also present, but these flaws are very few, and they are more than compensated for by the advantages:

  1. Soreness Unfortunately, the removal of hairs from the root is quite painful. But the result will persist for a long time.
  2. Possible irritation. Each person is individual and, perhaps, one will have absolutely no redness after the procedure of waxing with hot wax, and someone will get irritated.

Attention! Waxing is not recommended for people who have too sensitive skin. Before you carry out the procedure, you need to consult with a specialist to avoid unpleasant consequences such as irritation, ingrown hairs and allergies.

Which wax to choose for hair removal at home

There are several types of wax for use at home. Which wax to choose?

Hot wax

You can easily cook yourself that will cost many times cheaper than when you buy in the store. The wax, preheated in a water bath, is applied with a thin layer to the surface of the skin where unwanted hairs are located. This method is considered quite complex, but at the same time very effective. Use hot wax most effectively on the legs and arms, that is, in places where the hair grows quickly enough.

Warm wax

It is the most popular tool due to the convenience of the procedure. The most convenient way to apply wax, which is in special cassettes or rollers. However, this wax for hair removal is quite expensive. Epilation using warm wax is practically painless, so it is recommended to use it in the bikini area, where the most delicate skin is located.

Cold wax

It is not recommended to use the fair sex with very sensitive and irritable skin, since epilation with the help of this tool is very painful. But, despite the pain, cold wax is more effective than any other, with its help you can get rid of even the shortest hairs. It is better to use it in the armpits, as the hairs there are quite short.

Important! Before epilation, you must properly prepare the skin to avoid itching and irritation.

The first thing you need to make sure that the length of the hair is not less than 5 mm, as with shorter hairs, the wax can simply not act. Next, you should steam the skin under the shower, while using a washcloth or other device, getting rid of the dead cell layer. Immediately before the procedure of hair removal, it is best to wipe the areas where the wax (of any kind) with alcohol lotion will be applied.

How to make waxing

  1. A week before hair removal, you need to shave the area to which you plan to apply the wax with a razor. Due to this, the hair will grow by a week to 0.5-0.7 cm, which is the ideal length for the procedure.
  2. A mixture is applied to dry and clean skin, which is preheated on a steam bath to the consistency of liquid honey, that is, to about 40 degrees.
  3. Hot wax is applied to the skin with a wooden spatula.
  4. After applying the wax paper napkins are applied, preferably quite dense. As soon as it takes several minutes and the wax hardens, you need to sharply pull the napkin in the direction AGAINST hair growth.
  5. Wax residues are removed using olive oil or other means (soapy water, rich cream, or specialized means).

But do not overdo it with the temperature of the wax, as they simply put a burn. It is recommended to apply warm wax on the wrist before applying, if it does not burn much and there is no unpleasant painful sensation, then you can safely apply the wax to the epilation zones. In addition, wipes to remove wax should be longer than the wax strip, so it will be much more convenient to remove the frozen wax mask from the skin.

Doctors-dermatologists recommend doing wax epilation a few days before going to the beach, since ultraviolet rays can harm the skin, which is already quite weakened after the procedure. In addition, for a few days it is better to abandon the bath and tanning beds.

You should know! It is necessary to choose means for an epilation wax carefully and thoughtfully. It is better to pay special attention to popular trademarks, as they are often the most qualitative and effective.

You should not buy wax for hair removal in untested stores or unknown brands, since the consequences can be terrible, ranging from itching and ending with a strong allergic reaction. Doctors advise choosing wax for sensitive skin  For ladies whose skin is quickly irritated, such products are very soft and neat, as a rule, hypoallergenic.

Skin care after epilation

So that the skin does not "suffer" from this rather tough procedure, you need to properly care for it after the epilation. On those areas of the skin where the hair removal was carried out, a special serum should be applied, which will help to get rid of unpleasant sensations after epilation, slow down hair growth. Experts recommend using this serum for a week, as in the first week after epilation, the skin is susceptible to irritation.

Thus, it is quite simple to make epilation with hot wax at home, you just need to follow the recommendations and tips given in this article. Dermatologists assure that after several months of waxing the hair will eventually stop growing at all, which, of course, can not but rejoice.

Modern canons of beauty imply the absence of a woman's hair in certain places. Since nature is different, the fair half has to put a lot of effort into making the skin of the legs, underarms, bikini lines perfectly smooth. In addition, many have to deal with excess vegetation between the eyebrows or above the upper lip. There are quite a few ways to get rid of excess hair, and one of them is waxing.

The wax is melted and applied to the skin. At the same time, it penetrates the hair follicle and freezes around the hair, capturing it. As a result, during the removal of solid wax, the hair is pulled out along with the root. Therefore, the skin after such a procedure becomes smooth for a longer time than after shaving or using depilatory creams.

The wax should be melted to the consistency of liquid honey.

Pros and cons of waxing

Waxing has a number of positive points.

  • It is enough to do waxing once every 3-5 weeks. The first week the skin is perfectly smooth, then the roughness appears, but it is much less noticeable than after shaving.
  • If you do hair removal for a long time, the hair gradually becomes softer, less often and does not grow so fast.
  • Waxing does not require special equipment and can be carried out at home. This avoids the need to spend time and money on visiting the beauty parlor.

But there are a number of drawbacks.

  • Waxing is quite painful. Owners of sensitive skin often take painkillers before the procedure.
  • Substances in wax may cause an allergic reaction.
  • You can only remove hairs with a length of at least 4 mm.
  • For the procedure to be successful, you need to take into account many subtleties.
  • In pregnant women, waxing can cause bruising.
  • The result of using wax hair removal can be hair ingrowth. To avoid this, you must regularly do peeling.
  • The procedure is contraindicated for any damage to the skin of the legs, dermatitis, moles, rashes, varicose veins, diabetes.
  • Waxing is not recommended for older people.

Hot wax briquettes require serious heating.

How to remove hair wax at home

The chapters in the books on personal care and numerous Internet sites talk about how to wax wax. Let's try to summarize this information.

Epilation can be done with hot, warm or cold wax. The method depends on the melting point of the composition, each of them has its pros and cons.

  • Hair removal using cold wax is quite painful. The advantages of this method include the ability to remove thin and very short hair.
  • Using hot wax brings much less discomfort. However, this technique requires great care in the selection of temperature, otherwise the skin can be burned. In addition, hot wax hair removal is contraindicated in the case of varicose veins.
  • Warm wax is a perfect compromise. Compared with the cold, it takes much less time, is easy to use and causes less discomfort. However, he does not have the negative sides of the method of hot wax. The negative qualities of warm wax can be attributed to its higher cost. Typically, such wax is sold already in a convenient to use form - roller cassettes, but you can buy it in banks.

Remove the strip with a sharp jerk against the direction of hair growth

For the procedure, you will need a wax, a wooden spatula for its application, strips of cloth or thick paper napkins, talc for drying wet skin, cosmetic or vegetable oil to remove residues. It is also useful to have on hand a special lotion that relieves irritation, slows hair growth and prevents their ingrowth.

The wax can be melted in different ways: in a water bath or in a microwave. Stir the solution during heating is not necessary, and you can not bring it to a boil. Typically, the melting point of wax is such that it should not burn the skin, however, when applying the hot method, it is necessary to work especially carefully.

Temperature comfort should be checked by a small amount of  on the inner side of the crook of the elbow. After the wax has melted, it is applied to the skin in the direction of hair growth. The layer should be thin, but solid, in which case it will be able to securely capture the maximum number of hairs. Then a napkin or a strip of fabric is laid over the wax, smoothed and pressed. After a certain period of time, when the wax hardens, the fabric is abruptly removed, holding the skin and making a jerk against the direction of hair growth.

After completion of the procedure, the skin is treated with a moisturizer.

Preparation of the skin for the procedure

To conduct waxing the skin should be prepared. The desired hair length is at least 5 mm. You can get the perfect hair size by shaving the treatment area with a machine. In some manuals it is recommended to steam the skin before epilation, but this is not true. Wax does not fall on wet skin, so you can take a shower for a couple of hours, and immediately before the procedure, it is useful to sprinkle talcum on the sweat zones, for example, under your knees or under your arms. No residues of cream or other means on the skin should not be.

You should also avoid getting water on the wax itself, it significantly reduces its effectiveness. Some women like to drink a small dose of alcohol before epilation, considering that it relieves stress, however, this is wrong, because alcohol increases the sensitivity of the skin. If the thought of feelings causes persistent fear, you can take a painkiller pill or master breathing exercises that reduce discomfort. There are also anesthetic sprays that can splash the skin, but the moisture contained in these products complicates the use of wax.

Epilation waxing bikini zone is best done in the cabin

Waxing on a video does not seem to be an incredibly difficult or painful procedure, and so it really is. It should be borne in mind that stretching the skin before the jerk makes it much less sensitive. In some places, for example, above the upper lip, the skin should be tightened and when applying wax, only in this case the strip will turn out solid and even.

Before you use the wax for the first time, be sure to test for its allergic effects. To do this, apply a small amount on the bend of the elbow and trace a few hours to see whether redness, burning or itching will appear. If these phenomena are observed, you should look for a different composition or method for hair removal.

For hot or warm waxing, it is heated to about the consistency of honey in a water bath or using special devices.

House Hair Removal Procedure: Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Take a shower, dry skin, wet areas with powdered talcum powder.
  2. Apply a strip of wax to the skin in the direction of hair growth. Top with a cloth or napkin and press tight. Wait a few minutes until the wax hardens. After that, holding the skin from the bottom of the fabric, sharply pull against the growth of hair. As a result, the hair should remain on the strip with wax.
  3. Wipe the skin with oil, removing the remaining wax.
  4. Treat skin with lotion.
  5. Rinse cloth strips and a spatula for application with warm water. Before closing the jar, carefully wipe its edges from wax residue, otherwise it will not open the next time.

Difficult areas are best left to professionals.

After epilation, it makes sense to avoid several days of tight clothes, which can cause irritation in the treated area. Also, do not go to the sauna or bath, sunbathe, use any cosmetics. The normal skin reaction to waxing is redness and hypersensitivitythat should pass in a few hours. In the event of a slight itch, you should refrain from scratching, it is better to wash the surface several times with warm water, perhaps unpleasant sensations cause wax residues on the skin.

After waxing the skin will be smooth and silky for a long time.

Epilation with waxing at home is not such a difficult task, you just need what is called “to get your hand”. It is better to start with the legs, since their surface is fairly flat, and it is convenient to work with them. As you gain experience and confidence in yourself, you can go to the armpits. But bikini waxing due to its complexity and sensitivity of this zone is not given to everyone. For its processing is better to contact the beauty salon to the professionals.

Waxing (waxing) - is the removal of unwanted vegetation with wax, is considered one of the types of bio-epilation. The method is one of the most popular in our time, both women and men. It has a longer result than after using a razor or depilatory cream, but less long-lasting than, for example, after laser hair removal.
