Three topics of today's reading seem to do with each other are not connected. The first topic - about limitless readiness to forgive the sinned against you; The second topic is a request for the multiplication of faith and testimony of Christ about the strength of even the smallest faith, and, finally, the third topic is a parable about the employee and the owner. To understand the inner connection between these seemingly individual narratives, it is necessary to answer one question: why do I need faith apostles?

A strange question - you will say. After all, faith is a key virtue in religious life. "No faith is impossible to please God" - is not it? That's right, but there is one small nuance. The apostles talk about multiplying faith after the words of Jesus that forgiveness should be unconditional - and here the apostles understand: no, it is already busting. Well, forgive seven times for the day of the same person - this is something over the edge of the possible. And as a way out of such a situation, they see in a significant increase in faith - at which it seems to them, it is quite possible to cope with the task of forgiveness.

The answer of Christ seems very extraordinary. After all, in fact, he says to them: it would be possible to multiply! You do not even understand what you are talking about: you think that faith you have, it is necessary only a little "enlarge" - and in fact it is with faith as such you have very big problems! But why? Because for the Apostles Vera is a spiritual instrument by which you can seek high goals. This is a means, not a goal. However, in the parable, which followed this brief speech of faith, Jesus puts everything in its place.

In the parable, we see that all the ministry of the slave Mr. is his life. He does not "earn" some kind of praise or gratitude: he is entirely "embedded" into the life of the host house, and this is a holistic ministry without regard, which he will receive for it, and there is the only proper work of the slave. Transferring this image to our life, it is not difficult to understand: God is looking for non-market relations with a person, but family, sincere, like the closest family members. The situation when the child will not wash the dishes if he does not promise a candy - abnormal. And here the case is not at all in disobedience or children's egocentrism: just this little man has no feeling of a family as a holistic organism, in which the general state depends on each of them. If you did not wash the dishes, when it could well mean, thereby shifted this task on the shoulders of the other. But if, on the contrary, you did this business - naively expect some kind of award - because you yourself and there is a "welfare" of the results of this kind deed as a member of the family.

That is why the parable ends strange at first glance with words about the absence of any guarantees of salvation. Christ calls for everyone to work for the cultivation of faith, fulfilling the commandments - but at the same time not to expect the emergence of some exclusive relationship from God. Why? Yes, because as soon as the family begins to allocate someone from the children - the harmony of the family begins to crack on the seams. If "loves" appears - it means others inevitably become "adult". God, as an unconditional Loving Father, does not change his attitude towards his children, depending on their behavior: he loves everyone completely, even though this love may not meet not that understanding - but even the desire to take it.

In today's Gospel, Christ calls us to an incredible relationship with God: to feel like full members of the Divine Family, feel your kinship with each other - and throw off the temptations to use from the head - instead of serve one another!

In order to turn into a tyrant for another person, it is not necessary to wear a crown on the head, sit on the throne surrounded by hundreds of thugs and keep the hostages of relatives and close unfortunate. You can simply stubbornly do not forgive the person a bad act that he made against you. In a sense, a person becomes your debtor. You seem to have a moral right to take revenge. Insert the hairpin at the right moment. Dispose of your reputation and destiny. This is a fairly widespread kind of household tyranny. And many quite successfully use it. Therefore, Christ and speaks about forgiveness. After all, he came not to dominate, but serve. The same principle should follow his students.

There is one important point in the words of the Savior. Instead of saying about the need for forgiveness, he exacerbates the situation: a man was sinned seven times against you, he sorry seven times. Why does he do it? The Lord knows a great thing that often, even forgiving his neighbor in words, we cannot let go of the offense in your heart. It continues to live a bitter precipitate. Therefore, Christ says: Watch yourself, that is, carefully pepper in your heart. Not all your forgiveness and noble gestures are in fact. Absolute forgiveness is necessary. As if nothing happened. As if someone erased from your memory those resentment that caused Middle. Therefore, the Lord is used by the number seven. This is by no means an indication of a specific number of times. This is a symbolic number. Entrepreneur on completeness, completion of action.

Next, the savior deepens his thought: Performing the commandments, you can not do with your debtor not only a person, but also God. It is strange to expect award for what you live in the Gospel. After all, if so, then the gospel life for you is something out of a series of outgoing, far away, what is excellent from your daily life. Everything should be the opposite. The execution of the commandments of Christ should be for us the usual, ordinary work. Like that routine work that impresses our everyday life. We breathe, we sleep, go, eat, we clean around the house, etc. But after all, no one has thought to demand for this award.

Pupils are shocked. Where to take so much strength to follow what Christ said? Therefore, they are asked to increase faith in them. Of course, it is not about faith rational. Not about the reasonable recognition of some dogmatic truths. In fact, the problem is that arguing about sins, a modern person often associates them with the norms of the Criminal Code ... because of what even the Ten Commandments, which seem to be known, in reality the unknown, except 2-3 of the most famous. Neither the commandment forbidding idolatry nor the commandment of God's name is unknown to almost anyone ...

When people find out about the fact that the first commandment is not at all "not killed," and besides heavy sins, there is also sins internal, the easiest thing is to admit that if you judge, then all their life is solid sin, and if forces At least they don't have it for partial correction, then there is nothing to start at all ... All the same, all sins cannot be corrected.

Remembering that more than many other virtues, the saints appreciated prudence, it is worth avoided as one extreme and the other. Soberly assess your condition and strive as far as possible to execute the commandments.

But there are so many of them, - can say a person - I do not know what to start! Often to start turns out to be the easiest way from something outdoor! From the appearance, from the characteristic words and expressions ... But if we open the gospel and we will try to hear that Christ considered Christ, we will see that his students first distinguish not an appearance, not a question or something like that ... special differences are special Relationships that reign between them ... Relationships that are based on love. And how about health we are thinking when they are ill about love, or more precisely, its absence is eloquently evidenced by the problems arising when communicating with neighbors. Problems that are expressed in resentment and enmity.

In today's reading, the Savior speaks apostles about forgiveness and reconciliation, as the main and elementary phenomena of their Christian relation to each other. In this context, like the one who says he has nothing to confess, and the one who does not know where to start, can follow the advice of Christ.

"Watch out" - he calls. And we are talking, of course, to be attentive to your inner life, to their relationship with people. Watch your relationship and farewell. Be honest with people, but also peace-loving. Many may seem strange that Christ invites us to forgive when the near will ask for forgiveness. As if it would be no need to forgive without it. In fact, it is not about this, and Christ does not say that. Just knowing people who do not forgive even when they are directly asked about it, he calls from stand up on the path of forgiveness and start studying it. This path is hard, but Christ calls us to him, because he himself, according to the apostle Paul, loved us even when we were sinners. Of course, such love is not available immediately and not without difficulty ... But it is necessary to strive for it and you can start with a small one.
